The incorporation of incredible saxophone solos (Todd Oxford), jazz piano (Pamela York), and dramatic female vocals make Orisonata stand out among their prog metal band peers. Lead composer and artist is classical guitarist Jason Lee Greenberg.

Serpent Tales & Nightingales

“One of the more intriguing albums I’ve heard in a while, Grassman’s 58-minute opus is a unique mix of bombastic prog rock, piano pop, and opera. The versatile Texan says she drew on 1930s influences such as Duke Ellington, Dinah Washington, and Frank Sinatra to write these songs, which she hopes will encourage listeners through the recession as those artists did during the Great Depression. A concept album laden with classical and theatrical flourishes, Serpent Tales progresses through songs of confusion and sadness ultimately arriving at joy and peace.” – Christianity Today, May 2010

Keep Silent

A Collection of Ancient Carols

A double album, Keep Silent features enigmatic, ethereal, and moody takes on hymns and carols dating back to the 5th century. While songs like Silent Night and O Holy Night are popularly known, lesser known carols include Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence and Comfort, Comfort Ye My People. The album also features two originals, John’s Song and Can This Be So, which Jennifer wrote in the timeless style of ancient hymns.

At the Back of the North Wind

A collection of songs Jennifer wrote as a teen, most of which were composed while she still lived in a home broken by domestic violence and abuse. Many of the songs are inspired by literature and authors such as George MacDonald. Others, such as Pretty Girls, critique misogyny and the exploitation of women and girls. The music video for Pretty Girls won multiple awards including a Gold Remi and Silver Addy. The song, White Roses, was written for Jennifer’s high school friend, Rachael Koloroutis, who was murdered in 2003. Jennifer hosted several benefit concerts for Crime Stoppers to help raise reward money.
